King cleveland serial numbers tenor7/3/2023 The 18 fret rosewood fretboard is very well executed and features genuine mother of pearl dots! Topping off a beautiful guitar with quality features is the wonderful gold Bronson’s Radio King headstock logo with the period microphone proudly displayed. The guitar has a Tortoise pickguard and Waverly tuners with ivory colored buttons that are in excellent condition. The sound hole is bound with white/black/white purfling and the top and back feature ivory colored binding. The Mahogany really rings out with a clean sweet tone. If anybody can help me with the two stamps on inside of guitar or the maker, please let me know. This stamp may indicate the guitar was made in May, 1938 but i am not at all sure on that. It has a purple date stamp on inside back in a rectangle 5-38. ![]() ![]() This lovely solid Mahogany back and sides and solid spruce top lap steel is black inked stamped 245 on the inside back and inside top near neck block. Late 1930’s or 1940’s BRONSON’S RADIO KING LAP STEEL GUITAR SQUARE NECK #245 - Date inked stamped in a purple rectangle on inside back is: 5-38 Very Rare - try to find another one like this.
